Amazon Ultimate Review (Update): Is Private Label The Way To Go With Amazon FBA?

Amazon Ultimate is a free program created by Shaddy Mzeghet with the goal of teaching people how to make money online by selling private label products through Amazon FBA. The idea is that you do some research on specific products that are trendy, decide on a supplier (usually foreign since the products are cheaper), customize the products with your own branding, then have them shipped to Amazon so that you can sell them on their platform.

Shaddy’s flagship course is called Amazon Advanced 2.0 and it laser focuses on how to find the right types of products that Amazon sellers have had the most success with along with all the strategies and techniques that these sellers use to get products sold ASAP.

My #1 Recommendation For Making Money Online In 2024

This main issue here is that the private label business model isn’t a walk in the park. For example, let’s take a look at some of the hurdles that you’ll likely run into…

  1. Big Brand Competition: Customer loyalty is a funny thing and in some cases can turn on a dime, but for the most part people love what they love. So if you’re bringing to market a private label product that competes directly with something people buy on a regular basis and you want them to love your product more, it could be an uphill battle.
  2. Building Customer Trust: Getting a customer to believe in a new product can be a bit challenging, mainly because humans are creatures of habit and they typically buy what they believe is the best. So if they believe your product is inferior to what they’re used to buying, then you may need to spend a few dollars on marketing and advertising to swing them to a purchase mindset.
  3. High Costs: When you’re getting started, you will need to spend a bit of money for product development, marketing and packaging – and this can be risky since you’re not guaranteed to break even, consider it one big test. You’ll need to have the stomach to stay the course without seeing any kind of return, which can strain a shoe-string budget.
  4. Inventory Issues: Manufacturers and suppliers typically want you to buy in bulk, but if you’re new and haven’t proven yourself, then this can lead to issues like tons of products in your garage or basement that you can’t sell.
  5. Marketing and Branding Recognition: When you have a product that’s new on the market, getting people to at least try it can be swimming against the current, especially when customers have no basic awareness of what you’re offering.
  6. Manufacturer Reliance: When you rely on manufacturers for product development, you put yourself at risk for delays, backorders, and supply chain disruptions which can throw a monkey wrench in getting your products to the customer.
  7. Design and Packaging Costs: Developing eye-catching image design and packaging is a must for attracting new customers to your product, especially when competing with other brands. Good designs will cost a lot of money and might not get you the results you’re hoping for.

So, do you still want to jump into the deep end of private label marketing with Amazon FBA?

Then that’s what we’re going to be talking about in this Amazon Ultimate review.

Over the next couple of minutes, I’d like to go over some of the questions that people have about Amazon FBA, take a closer look at Amazon Ultimate and Shaddy Mzeghet, then touch on a business model that I believe is one of the best for 2024.

So with all that out of the way, let’s get rolling…

What Is Amazon FBA?

When starting an ecommerce business, you wear a lot of different hats like:

  • Product Researcher
  • Inventory Manager
  • Website Designer
  • Financial Adviser
  • Advertising Agent

All these can take up a lot of your time, but this is where Amazon FBA can help save time. Amazon FBA (fulfilled by Amazon) steps in as a place to store your merchandise, fulfill and ship customer orders, and handle customer service and support issues.

Sounds like a dream right?

It does come at a cost though.

For instance, their inventory fees will cost you anywhere from $0.75 to as much as $2.40 per cubic foot depending on the season and holidays.

And if you have inventory that has been sitting for a while, it can cost up to almost $7 per cubic foot.

Fulfilling and shipping these orders isn’t cheap either. In fact, you’ll need to pay as little as $3.07 to as much as $161.11 depending on the type of products.

Are There Better Alternatives In 2024?

Personally, I believe that it’s possible to make money using Private Label and Amazon FBA. Sure, there are a lot of moving pieces throughout the entire process and Amazon does most of the heavy lifting, but the profit potential is certainly there.

There are just a few issues that I have with this though…

  1. Competition: There are many sellers that have jumped on the Amazon FBA bandwagon, so standing out from the crowd can be a bit of a headache. Plus even if you are successful with a specific product, don’t be surprised if someone copies exactly what you’re doing – even Amazon themselves.
  2. Passive Income: Even though you can make a lot of money with Amazon, it’s definitely not passive.  You’re constantly juggling your time with new product trends, restocking inventory, and customer refunds.
  3. Ownership: Yes, you might own the products that you’re selling on Amazon, but you don’t own Amazon’s platform and they can pull the rug out from under you without any warning.

This is why I prefer Digital Leasing.

With Digital Leasing, I have the ability to create a digital asset and make anywhere from $500-$2000 per month from that asset. Also, I can create as many of these little digital cash cows as I like.

Plus, once each asset is set up and running correctly, it’s virtually 100% passive.

Lastly, I own each asset, so I don’t have to worry about someone taking them down.
