Albert Campagna is a new face in the affiliate marketing space. Lol that rhymed. Anyway Albert is running some ads on Facebook for his group called “Marketing Pros”. Apparently that group is free to join. Hmmm, but why run ads to a free group? How exactly is he making money off all this? Is it from the kindness of his heart? Albert starts off his ad by saying “People are making money doing Affiliate Marketing while they sleep?” This kinda confused me a bit reading it. It has a question mark at the end but reads more like a statement. But did it get me to pay attention to the ad regardless? Yes. And sure, it is actually true that people can make money in their sleep with affiliate marketing. But it’s a lot harder than you might think. We’ll talk more about this later though.
“That’s exactly what I’ve done for the last 10 years! And it’s changed my life!” I’m happy for him. I’m sure it wasn’t exactly and easy road. It was probably one that was filled with lots of trial and error. After that he immediately pitches us “Join my FREE Group where I teach & coach people on how to get their first commission payout quickly. And then I show them how to keep them rolling in!”
Really? You’re not even gonna butter us up first Albert? You’re not gonna tell me all the reasons why we should join your free group? Are there other 6-figure affiliate marketers in there? Good networking opportunities? Any livestreams at all? Albert, you seem cool, but I think you might need some copywriting help. On the bright side, clearly you’re doing well enough without one!

His free Facebook group has 2200 members at the time of this writing. That’s not too shabby. And he offers livestreams in that Facebook group as well which is pretty neat considering again, it’s free. Normally you have to pay like at least a couple thousand bucks for something like that. It looks like his group is relatively active too. Something you also don’t really get free groups like this, most you jump into are dead upon arrival.
So if the group is free, where’s the pitch? His pitch is to get you on the phone for 15 minutes and probably sell you on some high level consulting where he walks you through product selection and more. There’s no official cost for that listed anywhere but I imagine consulting with a guy like him will run you about $1000 per month at minimum. Overall, for a newbie I think he’s doing ok.
That said I still have beef with the affiliate marketing business model. There’s literally millions of people trying this exact model, going after the same exact products, and using the same exact landing pages. How can you possibly separate yourself from the competition? Anyone who’s been around in the digital space for a while knows that it takes a lot of money to make a lot of money in affiliate marketing. It’s just a lot harder these days. My advice? Get involved with something that has far less competition than affiliate marketing. Maybe my solution is what you’re really after…
