The ad continues with him listing off what everyone who fails does: “They randomly pick up a few products on clickbank, Amazon, JVZoo or wherever they can find them … Then they run paid ads STRAIGHT to those products only to lose their “you know what” on their return or even worse … Get BANNED from running ads because they’re not doing it compliantly. Or EVEN worse spam social media wondering why all they’re getting is crickets and tumbleweeds.”
Of course, what I don’t necessarily like about all that right there is the simple fact that in every affiliate marketing course or program you decide to Join (and I wager even his) they will show you to do EXACTLY this. That’s actually why I kinda have beef with the affiliate marketing business model. It’s just not as straightforward as most of these gurus make it look. There is way more that goes into this online marketing stuff than meets the eye.

Remember: “If you want to keep getting what you’re getting keep doing what you’re doing.”” Gross, just gross. This whole ad reminds me of just about every pitch ever. And that last line? I feel like that just adds insult to injury. People know that they have to make change to change their lives, but it’s not gonna come from some cringeworthy facebook ad and webinar.
Oh yeah! That’s another thing!! Rob Cornish pushes you over to his webinar page which looks just about as old as him. I’m talking that old and gaudy 90’s blue and yellow folks. It was just so hard to get past. It followed the structure of every single other affiliate marketing pitch you’ve seen before. Nothing all that unique.
Look ultimately, I really don’t have anything against Rob. I’m sure I could have a drink with him in real life. My main issue is the business model of affiliate marketing and how it’s taught these days. It’s a losing battle. For one thing, to make serious money with affiliate marketing you need to invest heavily into search engine optimization and social media marketing. This itself will require thousands of bucks each month to do right. And most beginners just don’t have that kind of money. Because of this, most people his the pitfalls that Rob lists off in the beginning. Make no mistake, you could fall into the same hole in his program. My recommendation? Just check out what I do, it can’t hurt and you might learn something new.
