It’s no big secret that Sophie Howard has gotten a pretty bad wrap over the years, and I can’t say that it’s not been warranted at times. You can’t help but like her though, I mean she’s a cute blonde from New Zealand, she’s got two cute little kids, and even her accent turns heads. You would think she has the world on a string, but why at every turn is she promoting this course and that course like their going out of style? Let’s find out in my e-Selling Machine Review.
Her latest gimmick is selling ebooks. They don’t even have to be your books – you can get other people to write them for you, with your name on the cover, and you get all the credit. Of course these “ghostwriters” still get paid, but hey, you’ve got a book that you’re making money from for many years to come. It might be for Sophie’s latest pitch to pass the sniff test given all the disgruntled customers in her wake, but just last year she raked in a cool $227k and those weekly bank deposits don’t seem close to stopping anytime soon.
Just think of some of your favorite hobbies, things that you do when you’ve got time to kill…
- Cooking or Baking
- Drawing or Painting
…it doesn’t really matter what it is so long as you enjoy doing it. Now imagine putting all that into a book for others to enjoy. Wouldn’t that be pretty cool? Not to mention the fact that you could also make bank from it hand over fist. There are billions of people out there who have these same hobbies (don’t think you’re the only one), and would probably love to hear what you have to say about it. So, imagine writing a little primer on gardening, video games, or playing the piano… you could make a fortune.
All they would need to do is go to the Kindle app on their phone, download your book, and BOOM! – you’re in business. This even works for Amazon Audible too. In fact, I love listening to books while I’m driving, taking a shower, or just relaxing in my favorite Lay-Z-Boy.
What’s even better is that you don’t have to sign a contract with Houghton Mifflin or deal with the hassles of shipping and handling – and like clockwork, Amazon pays your 70% of everything they sell. Sound too good to be true? I’m telling you, there are people all over the world doing this and even more people waiting to download the next installment. I mean, selling audio books is a decent way to make passive income.
Now, you’re probably wondering what you have to do in order to get your ideas down in black and white. You could self-publish if you wanted to, which isn’t all that difficult given all the Ai tools available online, Sophie even has one that you could use… wink, wink! Or, if you would rather, you could just hire someone else to write it for you.
Of course, there are upsides and downsides to everything, so it’s really just a matter of how you want to spend your money. In the beginning, Sophie was strapped for cash when she wrote her first book which was about how to sell knick-knacks on Amazon. She’s written over 100 books since then, but she paid people to write them for her. It’s not cheap though. A good ghostwriter could cost you up to $1,000 for every book they write, but if you’ve done your research and there are people just waiting in line to hear what you have to say, you’ll make back that money in no time.
Honestly, it’s not a bad business model, and it’s something that you can do just by carving out a few hours of your day. Sophie spells this all out in her most recent course called eSelling Machine. She even has some students who are making four to five figures every month. Now, you might be asking what the eselling machine pricing is. OK, well, it’s gonna set you back $2,497, but you can break that up into three payments of $997 and it includes writing tools and a niche finder software.
Now you might be thinking that’s quite a bit of money on top of all the money you’re gonna have to pay to ghostwriters. Yeah, you’re right. Also, now that I think about it, there’s probably a lot of competition to deal with on Amazon that’s writing about the same stuff.
Well, no one said it would be easy.
