Tim Sanders is the guru that sells Private Label Masters. This course teaches you about something called “compound layering” that will allow you to start and scale your own Amazon FBA business. He’s been doing it for about 6 years now (reassuring) and as you can tell from this pic, he’s made 10’s of millions a year in revenue. “There were a few turning points in my Amazon journey,” Tim says, “that allowed me to grow my business to where it is today.”
“The first point was just finally putting in that first order,” Tim goes on. “Oh man, I can remember, I was scared. I was really scared. I was like, ‘I’m about to wire money to China.’ Okay? Yeah, I’m using this thing called Alibaba Trade Assurance, but I’d never even heard of Alibaba.com before. It just seemed like, man, there’s no return policies for this kind of stuff. When it gets here, what am I gonna do if it doesn’t sell? I had all these worries. I didn’t know the process one hundred percent.”
“What if this comes up, what if that happens? I’ve heard this story, I’ve heard that story, right? And that’s natural. If you’re a new seller, you probably can relate to that. And, if you haven’t started selling, you can certainly relate to that. Well I remember the day I clicked the mouse button when I sent the money and ooh, that was an exhilarating feeling. You can think back to your first order or when you’re gonna do your first order and you will know what I’m talking about.”
“It’s just like, just finally doing it. So that was huge, right? ‘Cause once I got that outta the way? Then it was kinda like being on a treadmill that’s going at a decent clip, and you just gotta keep up, right? ‘It’s in production. Now it’s time to ship, gotta get it shipped. Oh, it just got there; I need pictures.’ Right? You’re just keeping up with the treadmill. And you learn so much through that first product. So that was incredibly influential; I guess you could say pivotal point number one,” Sanders says.
So what else is there? The second thing Tim said was “Okay, I really gotta up my game when it comes to my listing.” Here he’s referring to your pictures, ad copy, info bullet points and things like that. And there’s different levels right? You can tell who just slapped it together, who put in decent effort, and who’s listing looks like a total pro. Tim knew his had to look like a pro to make the serious money. “This is my livelihood. I will bleed for this listing.”
“So when I finally got to that point,” Tim recalls, “where it’s like, ‘Forget Fiverr, forget taking pictures on my cell phone or using this random guy down the street or whatever.’ When I was like, ‘Okay, I’m getting a professional photographer and I am getting a professional copywriter who knows what they’re doing and I am getting a professional package designer and logo designer,’ I would say that’s when it took another big pivot, right? That’s when I saw another big jump in my Amazon private label business.”
The last thing Tim noted was his “ah ha” moment. This is where he hired out for help so he could step away. Before that, him and just one VA were able to grow his store to 5 million a year in sales. So after he hired a few more people, he feels undefeatable. Between his own Amazon FBA Business and Private Label Masters, it’s safe to he’s raking in a few mill a year. No one really knows his net worth though. One site guesses 1.5 million, but I’m sure it’s north of 10 Million.
